I have always said, even from the very early stages in my life, that I want to be a mother. Motherhood has always appealed to me even when I was and 8 year old in elementary school. I can’t put a finger on exactly why I want to be a mother. Maybe it’s partly because of societal norms but I think it’s something bigger as well. I think it stems from the fact that I am a nurturing person in general. I think wanting to be a parent also comes from how you were raised. I had a great childhood and I feel my parents raised my siblings and I very well. I hope that one day I can raise my children the way my parents raised me.
I don’t know exactly what I want to do with my life at this point in time but I do know that I want to be happy. Happiness is the biggest thing I want out of my life and I think in the future motherhood will make me happy. Watching your kids grow up brings great joy to many mothers and I want to share in that experience.
